San Diego Zoo Safari Park Walkabout Australia

The Walkabout Australia exhibit is a 3.5-acre project located in the northern midsection of the existing San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The purpose of this exhibit is to showcase Australian animals in a naturalistic setting with plants similar to their native environment. An 8’ wide visitor path winds along several exhibit yards. Three barns provide animal holding areas, along with an airlock house to enter the kangaroo exhibit. The upper area of the largest barn also serves as an event space. Small ponds and water features are included in animal yards, as well as view from elevated decks.
