The Watering Hole San Diego Zoo Safari Park

The Watering Hole project is located on the west side of the main Africa Plains animal yard at the existing San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The purpose of this exhibit is to provide an upgraded gathering area, event space and bar seating area. An existing visitor access walk is extended up to an open sided, thatch roof pavilion with outdoor seating along two sides.  The east side features a hollow tree shaped bar constructed of shotcrete. The entire project is tied together through African theming and Savana plantings.
