Pacific Building Group recently completed construction of the new Sharp Rees-Stealy medical office building in downtown Chula Vista — a transformative $100 million healthcare project designed to expand access to medical services throughout the South Bay region.
Developed by PMB and designed by HGW Architecture, the new 75,000 SF, three-story facility replaces Sharp Rees-Stealy’s previous 40,000 SF clinic and provides expanded space for primary and specialty care, urgent care, physical therapy, radiology, cardiology, neurology, laboratory, and pharmacy services.
Located at 480 H Street, the project was constructed on a constrained urban site that required extensive coordination and logistical planning throughout construction. The building also includes a connected 127,000 SF parking structure with 375 parking spaces to support patients, staff, and visitors.
“This is one of our true niches and something that we’re very proud of,” said Andre Childers, President of Pacific Building Group. “When we can build facilities like this that help thousands of people each year, that’s why we’re in this business.”
The new medical campus reflects Sharp Rees-Stealy’s continued investment in healthcare infrastructure across San Diego County and represents another milestone in Pacific Building Group’s long-standing experience delivering complex healthcare environments throughout the region.
