SAFETY & EDUCATION
Our Safety & Health Program is just one component of our company-wide goal to provide the best quality and most productive service in our industry. The program is designed to train our employees to follow safe practices, address safety issues through regular communication, and to recognize and correct unsafe working conditions.
Employees are required at a minimum to complete the following certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour Occupational Safety & Health
- CPR & First Aid Training
- NUCA Evacuation Safety & Competent Person Training Program
- Fall Protection “Competent Person Training”
- Advanced SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) Training
In addition to these certifications, many employees take advantage of educational courses related to construction management, blueprint reading, scheduling program management, LEED certification, and new construction technology.
Pacific Building Group has received numerous awards recognizing the constant attention to safety and training that our Project Teams adhere to and maintain with our subcontractors! This is a direct result of hard work and diligence in building safe and quality projects! View our awards
QUALITY CONTROL
Pacific Building Group ensures that all departments of the company work in conjunction with the client and their selected team to provide a seamless transition to the finished product. The Estimating Department and Operations Team develops a comprehensive plan that includes:
- Value Engineering / Cost Analysis
- Unforeseen Conditions / Long Lead Items
- Critical Path Scheduling
- Site Restrictions / Building Requirements
- Documentation Management
PBG has developed a set of controls and standards that are communicated to our subcontractors that demands accountability and encourages communication while ensuring that all work is completed on time.
SELF-PERFORMANCE
Pacific Building Group employs a crew of over 100 craft workers that perform drywall and metal stud framing, doors frames and hardware, and selective demolition.
Our ability to self-perform these trades gives PBG a unique advantage by offering some of the most competitive drywall bids in the industry, while paying attention to critical factors impacting schedule and budget. Pacific Building Group can also provide additional services for our clients such as equipment and furniture installation that may not have been part of the original scope.
Additionally, this division of the company allows Pacific Building Group to subcontract work to other general contractors and developers in Southern California on non-conflicting projects. Advanced Acoustic Contractors, Inc., an acoustical ceiling company owned by the Principal of Pacific Building Group, is considered one of the leaders in the industry.
AAC has the resources to handle any size project from the smallest patch and repair remodel to a large multi building corporate campus. Advanced Acoustic Contractors is the preferred acoustical contractor of many of San Diego’s largest GC’s and has completed projects for Biosite, Qualcomm, Intuit, SONY and SHARP Healthcare.
